Our Pipe Welders are required to complete all facets of pipe welding works (including general tasks) on time, in full and to standard, while striving for continuous improvement.
Our Pipe Welders are responsible for keeping themselves and their colleagues safe, as well as maintaining a clean, tidy and productive work environment

What’s Involved
- Conducting pipe welding (or general) tasks as directed in accordance with supplied Tasking Sheet, Work Pack / Job Tickets.
- Performing welding of carbon steel, stainless steel, Cu Ni, and other specified materials in accordance with approved welding procedures and drawings.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, piping isometrics, weld maps and fabrication documentation.
- Inspection, analysis and recording of critical measurements, weld quality data or information during the process of undertaking works.
- Preparing, fitting, aligning and welding pipework systems to required tolerances and specifications.
- Conducting visual inspections of completed welds and rectifying defects where required.
- Assisting with hydrostatic, pressure and leak testing of installed pipework systems as required.
You’ll Need
- Trade Qualification , Certificate III Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Pipe Fitting)
- Construction White Card
- Current welding qualifications/certifications relevant to the scope of work (e.g. AS/NZS ISO 9606, AS 1796 or equivalent)
- Ability to use welding equipment, hand tools and associated equipment related to the trade.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding procedures.
